Final Results

Clint and Matt Van Horn held off Mike and Bart Peeper with a fifth place finish Saturday in securing the top spot heading into Classic Championship and more importantly the “Anglers of the Year” title. The spot comes from a consistent showing through out the year and the dedication to the GCBA by fishing all ten of the regular season events. It also nets them $200 and two nice Wind Pullovers embroidered designating them as the AOTY for the 2008 season as well as the admiration of their peers. Congratulations Clint and Matt!

With seventeen boats fishing this past Saturday, the championship fund is now at $1630 with a total of 20 teams qualified for the classic. The entry fee at the championship is still $60 per team but will be paid back 100%. That being the case, if all 20 teams show up and fish the championship we will have a total purse worth $2830 to payout. If that occurs the payout will be as follows:

1^st - $1250 & 2-Jackets embroidered indicating you are the classic champions for 2008

2^nd - $650

3^rd - $320

4^th - $150

5^th - $60

BB Day 1 - $100

BB Day 2 - $100

BB Overall - $200

If your name is highlighted you have qualified for the championship. All teams that have qualified will also receive a t-shirt commemorating the event. Other prizes will be awarded recognizing accomplishments from the regular season.
